Haiku ~ Tree

From the tree of genes,
the past, I seek ..
History, comes alive !

An apple Eve plucked,
birth of sin...
truth, innocence died !

Mighty and strong,
the unbending oak,
weathers all storms !

Cherry trees blossom,
lay down a carpet of blooms,
oh, that tryst with time !

Woods, dark and deep
tight cocoon of trees,
blessed home to the wild !

  1. I specially like the unbending oak, carpet of blooms and dark and deep woods ~ Haiku writing is best when its drawn on a simple and clear image ~

    1. Thank you judith !! I wanted to show that the blossoming of the cherry trees in Japan, is an annual and most eagerly awaited event in the japanese calender. And then it bursts forth, iridescent and splendid, for such short time :)

  12. Thanks for guiding me here with your comment of my "Family Tree." You engulf whole worlds with your images. Yes, trees are that much, it is well to celebrate them and recognize their place in culture. They bless us too.

  19. Frankly telling, it's strength of your expression which makes me your fan dear.

This time it is tree. Each para you jotted is having it's own merits & I find it difficult to weigh which one I like the most.

    Keep it up Prema.
